We believe that breeding and training our dogs begins with a stone solid foundation. Our dogs are born in my home and their foundational training begins at the start of the old lime stone road just out our front door.
Llewellin Setter History
Llewellin Setters are a very specific bloodline of English Setters that are specifically delineated as a separate and distinct bloodline from other English Setters on American Field Dog Stud Book pedigrees. This specific bloodline can be traced back well into the 1800’s to R.L. Purcell Llewellin’s own dogs.
Our Dogs
StoneForged Setters successfully compete in multiple testing arenas, including: NAVHDA hunt tests, as well as AKC field trials and hunt tests to prove their abilities before breeding decisions are made. All our dogs are x-rayed and genetic tested to ensure we are breeding the best to the best.
